4th of July day out.

Our day out on the 4th of July =D

Mind you, not most of the shops were open since a lot of ppl are celebration America's Independance day. We decided to take a walk after lunch. ^^ Oh and if you see clearly there are protestors behind my family. LOL.
Agghhhh!!!!!!!! OMG!!! its the hulllkkkkk!!.....oh thats lame, its actually one of those double decker tour buses that passes our place regularly =P

So the cops where outside our building for the protestors. teehee, we were so sakai! Other ppl were taking pictures with them, we wanted to....but we were to scared =P Amongst allt he Americans, we're like midgets.

This was in grand central station, there was a huge darn flag hanging up on the ceiling!!! It was wicked awesome. But it was dark in there at the same time so u cant really see it.

Street performers that caught our eye ;) They were really great, coz they had a lil kid in their act, they danced by the way ...oh and the guy that was behind me...smelled like beef...*GAG!*

An outing in the city.

On our day out, we all visited 5th Avenue's Apple store, and this is it...on the outside that is. I was afraid to take pictures inside, fearing that the employees might think im a chinese/japanese spy trying to steal their ideas.

The entire store is actually located underground, under all that glass. It was an awesome place. unfortunately it was really packed in there so we didnt have time to look around.

Everyone was excited to visit here....everyone except Syaza...she was not feeling that up to it. Probably a case of jet lag? but she said she wanted to throw up.

Sadly Ayah wasnt in this picture, he was the camera man for that moment.

Our apartment.

Good morning fellow readers! how are you family and friends?

This elevator is where the magic happens. It brings us ap and down from 4th to the 6th floor.

We all live within 3 floors of our apartment....so thats 4-5 and 6. LOL.

This is the view outside one of our windows in the apartment; as you can see, thats the UN building, and the front pavement is aligned with flags of all nations......hence UNITED NATIONS (UN)....=P

Obvious much?.... Well continuing with the tour.

So i hope this blog entry wont me to long for you will see the whole of our apartment =P

So this is the living room on the 4th floor. You can see that is our very own hypnotizing machine, it works very well when used daily. LOL

Enough of the 4th floor, lets go to the 5th. =D

OK, here is the inside of the fifth floor, our amah lives on this floor. shes the only one here, but its all the way criss crossing through some corridor.




This is where everyone whould hang and lepak, but everyone goes to the 4th, wher Waie, Abg and me live in =P maybe its because, thats where all the food is =P

On your left is the staircase on the 5th floor that leads up to the 6th =) its very nice on your feet, since its lined with furry carpeting....*drool drool*.

We miss Brunei

We miss Brunei alot!! and everyone in Brunei especially QELLY! Its been about 6 days since we left but it feels like YEARS... things here are so expensive... its crazy !
the kids are enjoying playing with their new Wii, especially faf ...well its good for her keeps her active insteada sitting on the couch all day watching her girly tv shows...you guys who havnt tried Wii before should, especially for those who dont like exercising alot, Wii is a great and exciting way to keep fit and have fun at the same time...so try it out ;)
Im sorry but this is going to be a VERY short blog...gonna hit the hay.. even though its 2.23pm here its 2.23am in Brunei and my body still isnt used the time difference.... goodnight you guys !

Waiting in vain...

I am bored..am still waiting for the confirmation of my flight back to Brunei, been on the waiting list since 1st of January, all SQ flights from Newark New York to Singapore fully booked, its the time of the year when most people escape the cold weather of NY, so here I am the Victim of Circumstances......been in NY since September 2007 and cant wait to go home and be with my childrens..I have listed few foods that I will look for once I reached Brunei..

Went to Queens,one of the 5 borough of New York.Its so different from Manhattan, its where most of the Asians and Hispanic lives.Just look at the Saree Boutique across the road,its a common view here in Queens

2008....Here we come

Tuesday 01/01/2008 The tone of Peterpan " Sedang Ingin Bercinta" from my Brunei line woke me up, glanced at the alarm clock, its 8 a.m on new year day, Hello...U maseh kat New York ker? I and family dah sampai KL, we been trying to call ur guys to join us kat London...Nani mana? Hold on..DS want to talk to u.. The call was from DS , our dear friend from KL. The conversation lasted for more than 30 minutes,started with their complaints on the numerous call they made to me and my other half which goes unanswered, I have to tell them we seldom switch on our Brunei phones, they wanted us to join them in London, then we goes on exchanging news about our children activities,talk about mutual friends and asking us to drop by KL on our way back. Known the DS's way back during our student day in UK,been good friends till now, tough DS is holding important post in the Malaysian Cabinet, that post doesnt change him and his other half, the DS's remain the same people we known years ago..This makes me wonder why some people change once given a new post, new tittle etc...Guess Thats Life... 2008 is here..Without fail,people will ask whats your new year resolutions..My standard answer will be...Peace on earth....What a lame lines....Actually I have enough of announcing to others about my new year resolutions...I just want to keep it to myself and pray with his help I could achieve it. 2007 been a roller coaster year for me,but then again I always look at the glass as half full, I just want to have positive attitude on everything ( though its easy to say than done), I always remember the words of my former boss while serving in Bangkok (1987-1990) he said..Life is too short..the most you live is 60 to 80 years old...so enjoy every second of your life..no point of worrying so much on what had happen, think on what you have today, which is certain..not so much of uncertainties....Another words of wisdom I have been trying hard to hold is...Jangan berprasangka burok terhadap orang....Selalulah bersangka baik...Another words which is easy to say.... Here I am in NY with my other half minus our children,one in Aussie studying ( at least i think and pray so..), the rest is in Singapore ,enjoying their holiday with their nini,uncles/aunties and cousins, as for my self, i am getting old...and I have not achieved all my dreams...then again I cant complain..Life goes on...I am just making the best of it...Que Sera Sera...I just pray along the way, I will not hurt people,especially my loved ones...They mean sooo much to me...Cant imagine living without them next to me....One line from me..May the new year bring us happiness..
